Conference in Armenia.

06 June 2010

Starting on the 8th and running through the 22nd of May in Armenia, we facilitated a conference for evangelism.
Eight people from various churches associated with our congregation were invited to participate.

We were in Yerevan for 2 weeks. Every morning, while we were there, we attended classes dealing with the theoretical portion of the seminars.

The aim of the conference was not only to acquisition of knowledge but also the practical application thereof. So every day, after a common prayer for Armenia and having finished our lunch, we went out to evangelize.

We divided ourselves into small groups and went to some of the nearby Armenian villages. While we were there each of us had an opportunity to tell people about what God has done for each of us and to apply our newfound knowledge about evangelism.

In these villages, we shared our knowledge of Jesus with some of the locals. Then, those who were willing, were given the opportunity to pray the sinners prayer of repentance. Some took advantage of this great opportunity!

We also had some free time, during which we ‘took-in’ some of the local sights and became better acquainted with some of the local believers.

Benjamin truly enjoyed the Sightseeing.

During the last days of the conference, the local Christian community organized an evening of Armenian culture along with the opportunity to sample some of the local cuisine, for our people.

Samuel really liked the Armenian dances. He quickly and easily began to participate in them.

This conference resulted in, among other things, the unifying of all of its members. We went home after a successful and remarkable two weeks of sharing the gospel with others.
